Taylor's 55 gallon tank set up

If possible, I would like to stock my tank this way:
2 Angelfish
4 Bolivian Rams AND/OR iv German Blue Rams
x small schooling fish
10 small bottom feeders
If at all possible, I'd like to possibly cut down on the schooling fish and the lesser feeders and then I could have more angelfish or preferably Bolivian Rams and German Blueish Rams.
I currently have my 55 running without fish to terminate the cycling, a 10 gallon with 1 Pleco, 1 Neon Green Tetra, and ii African Dwarf Frogs. I too have another small-scale tank with 6 guppy fry around three-four months former. (Maybe a niggling older). I need to get fish that volition do well with these others that I accept.
If you lot guys could aid me make a decision on whether or not the stocking idea I have would exist good or non, information technology'south exist greatly appreciated.
By the fashion, I got the stocking list from this forum yesterday.

Tetras require a school of at to the lowest degree v, and even more than if you can do it. What type of pleco practise you have?
I think you could do gouramis, angels, small schooler, and cories?

Modest tetras don't really go well with Angelfish. I would option a tetra that is at least 2 inches and triangular rather than torpedo shaped, such equally Flame tetras. You could also only fore go the tetras if you have your middle set on angelfish since tetras can nip and Angels have long fins and then they may go at information technology.
I would get with Bolivian Rams as they tend to be more hardy and so Bluish Rams. I had 5 in my 55 gallon, just make sure they have a lot of hiding places. The bottom feeders and the rams may compete for space and so choose carefully or reduce your number of rams.

*angels are awesome, but may Not be little angels at all, particularly when convenance. They can also get pretty big if they grow in proper settings, think palm of your hand for their body. I remember ii would be perfect for this. What look/kind are you going for?
I would also second the tetra-angel warning. The wife was persistent in trying to get a school of neons in the tank with our 2 angels (as well a breeding pair). Lol, let's just say later on 5 attempts, I finally convinced her it's Not going to happen. Notwithstanding, if you want a bulkier and very pretty tetra get with Bleeding Hearts. When in fish stores y'all practice Not get to see their potential (think rainbowfish). If y'all desire to see how they can get check out my pictures. They also get large enough to hold their ain ii-iii" and are very round, vs the long narrow build. They may nip some fins, simply I never saw anything bad.
For the bottom dwellers, my proposition is cories all 24-hour interval. You have plenty of options in looks and sizes and they are very entertaining. Or you lot could get some loaches. Both are bottom dwellers that similar groups.
If the rams don't work for ya, maybe a krib. They are normally peaceful and colorful and stay a good size. Only another thought

I got this off of google considering I don't have a picture of him. I'm not sure if it's the same i, only it looks just like it. The Tetra I have is like this besides from google but I know for a fact it'southward this 1.
What practise you recollect about these going with the original stocking idea?

The pleco looks like a common which is bad news because they tin get up to 2 feet and if I call up a 55 gallon is too small for them.

Past the manner I disagree about rams in general beingness fish that have to be added concluding. Bolivian rams are very hardy I added them outset with TSS (so basically cycled with them) and they are yet doing well. Blue rams and gold rams are the more sensitive ones.
My recommendation would exist:
one Angelfish
8 Tetras (Flame, Von Rio, Black Phantom, Lamp Center Tetra, Pristella Tetra, Lemon Tetra, or White finned rosy tetras could work)
half-dozen Cories or ane Small-scale/Medium Pleco (bristlenose, clown etc.)
2 Bolivian Rams
What practice you lot programme to do with your existing fish?
Edit: Past the way in example information technology helps whatever my stock plan for my 55 gallon was this:
1 bristlenose pleco
5 Bolivian Rams
8 Von Rio/Flame Tetras
8 Glowlight Tetras
8 Bronze/Albino Cories

I keep GBRs and in my globe in that location'south no such thing a 'sick' GBR… but a live one or a dead i. Proficient luck with them, they're one of my favorites.

I would definitely up the number of black skirts though unless you desire to give away the i you have. There are a number of unlike color morphs, just look for the scientific name Gymnocorymbus ternetzi. Black skirts, gilded skirts, and the Glofish tetras are all the same species and will schoolhouse together if yous desire some unlike colors in your school.

Rams are extremely sensitive and need pristine water conditions, and information technology's common knowledge that fifty-fifty beingness careful with water changes they'll still do poorly, and often die unexpectedly in a 'immature' tank - spend a little fourth dimension looking this up. And while nosotros're discussing them, I also recommend taking as long as 3 - iv hours transitioning them into their new home, non the usual 20 - thirty mins.I proceed GBRs and in my world there's no such thing a 'sick' GBR… just a live one or a dead one. Good luck with them, they're one of my favorites.
BTW, welcome to Fishlore!
I was talking about Bolivian Rams which are a different species. They are hardier than their blue and gold cousins.

Not certain if this is the proper place for this only I idea it would exist fun to postal service updates on how my 55G is going. Any communication or recommendations is gladly accepted. Right now the current stock is:
5x platies
2x dusk thick lip gouramis
5x zebra danios (non planning on upping their school)
1x rainbow shark
And I was going to add a mixed school of black and white skirts tetras and glo tetras.
Currently I have the huge filter running on my 30G tank to bike.
As far as decorating goes I was going to employ more often than not blackness gravel with a couple of the colored rocks in there. I was trying to figure out a style to re-use some of my brothers old decs and I finally figured out the super nerdy way to do it. I'm putting in a big TARDIS! Then pretty much everything I put in at that place will make perfect sense lol.

two male mollies
three male platies
7 albino cories
7 harlequin rasboras
7 reddish barbs (may not do these)
1 pearl gourmaI OR dusk thick lipped gourami
one nerite snail

Empty the 30G and movement it, then put the 55G upward and start to make full it with water.
Then fill the 30G. I could put the two goldfish in the 30G the same mean solar day.
Would the other fish that are going into the 55G be able to stay in the tub for a couple of days? I tin't add them all at in one case.
